Gregory J. Bierschbach, 57, Minot, ND, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2019 in his home with his family by his side.

Gregory John Bierschbach was born on June 20, 1962, a son of James and Marcia (Shirley) Bierschbach in Watertown, SD. He was raised and educated in South Dakota, where he graduated from Milbank High School in 1980.

On Aug 6 1983, Greg was united in marriage to Julie Kockx in Milbank, SD. They started their married life in Milbank, where Greg began his career working for his father at an International Harvester Dealership. He later moved to Burlington, CO, and in 1985, moved to Minot, where he began working at Magic City Implement, now Northern Plains Equipment. He was very passionate about his work.

Greg loved to spend time outdoors. The time spent at their Douglas Bay cabin with his wife, children and grandchildren were among his favorite memories. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, pontooning and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Greg is survived by:
Wife of 36 years, Julie; two children: Molly (Deven) Mantz, Abby Bierschbach; four grandchildren, Braeleigh, Chandler, Charlotte, and Hank; parents: James “Jim” and Marcia Bierschbach; siblings: Mike Bierschbach, Kathy (Bruce) Taylor, Jennie (Phil) Kibbel.

Greg was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation: Monday, December 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot and from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, December 30, 2019 at 7 pm in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at NOON at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

In lieu of flowers, Greg’s family would prefer donations to the Trinity Cancer Care Center.
