Milbank Kindergarten Screening Set for January 24

The Milbank School District will conduct Kindergarten Screening and Registration on Friday, January 24, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Koch Elementary School. Kindergarten screening is for any child who is five years old before September 1, 2020. Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate.

Children will undergo a kindergarten assessment. The school nurse will complete a brief health assessment and review immunization records. Each child’s speech will be screened by a speech therapist. The screening is expected to require up to an hour and a half.

Children will be registered by last name according to this schedule:
A-C – 8 – 9 a.m.
D-G – 9 – 10 a.m.
H-J – 10 – 11 a.m.
K-M – 11 a.m. – Noon.
N-R – Noon – 1 p.m
S – 1 – 2 p.m.
T-Z – 2 – 3 p.m.

Parents may choose to come at an alternate time if their scheduled time is not convenient.
