The Lady Bulldogs gymnastics team took fifth place on Day 1 of the 2020 South Dakota Class A Gymnastics Competition. The meet was held this weekend, February 14-15, at Central High School in Aberdeen. The first day was devoted to team events; the second day was reserved for individual competition.

Milbank wrapped up the team competition with a total score of 128.125. Deuel was crowned the Class A champion for the third straight year with a total of 144.050 points. Madison was the Class A runner-up with 134.625. Estelline/Hendricks finished third with a score of 133.225, and Parkston/Ethan/Hanson/Mt. Vernon was fourth with 130.550 points. Other team scores from Class A included: Hot Springs, 125.200; Wagner/Bon Homme, 123.800; Chamberlain, 123.400, and Vermillion, 115.775.

The individual competition took place today, Saturday, February 15. All eight members were eligible to compete. Keep up with the Valley Express for the results from Day 2.
