According to Deb Underwood, Director of Food Service for the Milbank School District, the mobile meals food program is still going strong. The number of meals served is still as consistently high as when the program began in March. As many as 525 lunches and breakfast are made and distributed in a day.

Underwood says, “Getting certain foods and supplies is still a challenge, too. I would love to get local, home-grown produce.”

She says, “The meal service was approved to continue providing lunches until July 31, and possibly beyond. The times and pick up locations will remain the same.” She also reminds families they can only receive food from one site daily.

Underwood says, “We love our kids and love what we do! We hope they keep coming through the summer.”
