Hildred Issendorf, age 87, of Graceville, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

A private family burial will be held at the Graceville Cemetery in the upcoming weeks.

Hildred Genivive (Raddatz) Issendorf was born on October 18, 1932, on the family farm near Norcross, MN, to Theodore and Esther (Froehlich) Raddatz. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wheaton and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dumont. She attended country school near Norcross and Dumont followed by West Central Agricultural School in Morris.

On October 21, 1951, Hildred married Earl Issendorf at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dumont. They made their home in Graceville and she worked for 34 years at Holy Trinity Hospital in the dietary department. Their union was blessed with three children and 31 years of life together. Earl passed away on July 10, 1982. They were members of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Graceville where Hildred taught Sunday School and was a member of the ladies’ aide.

Hildred enjoyed camping, flowers, sightseeing, walking, visiting, and helping others.

Survivors include her children: Tom (Nancy) Issendorf of Thief River Falls, MN; Donna (Randy) Lopau of Canby, MN; and Julie (Joe) Vlach of Benson, MN; six grandchildren: Jeff (Lynn) Issendorf of Thief River Falls, MN; Stacy (Aaron) Doyscher of Volga, SD; Carrie (Justin) Thurman of Sturgis, SD; Kathy (Eric) Larson of Brainerd, MN; Dustin Vlach of Willmar, MN; and Mandi (Jamie) Naig of Hancock, MN; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Illa Mae (Bill) Wendt of Brooklyn Center, MN; Darlene (Eugene) Pasche of Morris, MN; Virgil (Sharon) Raddatz of Dumont, MN; and Linda Lee Lattimer of Little Falls, MN.

Hildred was preceded in death by her husband Earl; grandson, Chris Issendorf; sisters: Delores Moerer and Lorraine Rixe; brothers-in-law: Wally Moerer, Harold Rixe, and Alvin Lattimer; and special friend, Herb Mandersheid.
