Love is in the air just in time for you to lift the spirits of residents at local nursing homes and assisted living centers. Betsy Van Lith and Jessica Dockter are pumped up to help you make Valentine’s Day extra special. Adopt a resident or send a balloon bouquet to someone you know. It doesn’t get any easier than this!
Betsy and Jessica, owners of Farmhouse Celebrations in Milbank, will help you Spread the Love by delivering pink and red balloon bouquets to residents of the Milbank, Ortonville, and Wilmot senior care homes on Valentine’s Day. These joyful and jaunty bouquets are just $10 a creation, including the delivery. Now that’s a sweet deal!
This year marks the duo’s third annual Valentine’s Day promotion. Betsy says, “Staff at the senior care homes say residents love receiving these balloons so much that some keep them up for months,”

Want to play Cupid and make sure every resident gets balloons? Farmhouse Celebrations welcomes your help! A tag will be attached to each bouquet to explain the balloons are a gift from friends in the community, who are sending them love on Valentine’s Day. If you prefer to purchase a bouquet for a specific person, Farmhouse Celebrations will gladly include the name of the recipient on the card. Add your name, too, if you like.
It’s typical to send a gift to a nursing home resident for Christmas, but Betsy says “These Valentine’s Day bouquets brighten their surroundings at a different time of the year. Valentine’s Day is often a holiday when many residents go unremembered.”
Heart Day is coming up on Friday, February 14. So don’t blow it!
