The 34th Annual Piano Festival will be held Sunday, February 23, at 1:30 pm in the Milbank High School Theater. Admission is Free. Everyone is invited to attend. The festival, sponsored by the Milbank area piano teachers, is designed to showcase the talents of area musicians and to encourage them in their studies. Guest musicians are selected to inspire the students.

This year’s guest artist is Pam Neugebauer. Neugebauer grew up in Nassau, Minnesota, and started taking piano lessons in the second grade. She continued through high school and college and also played flute and piccolo in her high school and college bands. Currently, she plays the piano and the organ at the American Lutheran Church, where her husband, Justin is the pastor. She also participates in the church and bell choirs, leads Sunday School music, and accompanies solos during  Milbank junior and senior high school band contests.

Neugebauer will be playing two solos at the Festival:  “Rustles of Spring” by Christian Sinding and “Wonders of Love” written by Handel and arranged  by J.B.Taylor.
