Under sunny skies and with temps hovering at 55-degrees, Milbank athletes earned medals in multiple events.at the 2025 Rob Luecke Track and Field Invitational. The meet was held Tuesday, April 29, in Groton.
Girls Highlights
First-Place Finishes: Zayda Townsend sprinted to first place in the 400-Meter Dash. Her time also took her to the No. 3 spot on the MHS Varsity Honor Roll.
Second-Place Finishes: Koplin also earned second place in the 800-Meter Run and moved to the No. 6 spot on the MHS Varsity Honor Roll. Siera Wenzl was the runner-up in the 200-Meter Dash. The 400-Meter Medley team composed of Dexter, Wenzl, Violet Johnson, and Bree Townsend finished second. Anna Neugebauer led the field events with a second-place finish in the Shot.
Third-Place Finishes: The quartet that included Z. Townsend, Ella Koplin, Jacy Dexter, and Adison Pauli brought home third in the 800-Meter Relay. Gemma Street took third place in the 200-Meter Dash.
Boys Highlights
First-Place Finishes: Bryan Meyer won the 800-Meter Run. Emmett Hanson took first place in the 110 and 300-Meter Hurdles. Meyer, Harley Zemlicka Lightfield and Hanson finished first in the BulldogRelay. MIcah Tostenson, Jaxson Wiese, Garrett Weber, and Liam Heller took first in the Medley Relay. Lincoln Holscher won the High Jump competition at the meet and with his leap, landed in the No. 9 spot on the MHS Varsity Honor Roll
Second-Place Finishes: Jeter Scoular took second in the 3200-Meter Run. Meyer, Beckham Berry, Liam Street, and Heller came in second in the 3200-Meter Relay. Zemlicka was second in the 300-Meter Hurdles. Oliver Korth took second place in the Shot.
New Honor Roll Mark: Lawson Novy took fifth at the meet in the Discus with his throw of 130’ 10”. The toss also landed him at No. 9 on Milbank’s all-time school record list. As mentioned above, Holscher also made a new No 9 mark on the MHS Varsity Honor Roll.
