Pssst… In queso you didn’t know, the middle school and high school youth of Central Church in Milbank are hosting a food truck fundraiser on Tuesday, August 5 and Wednesday, August 6.
But this is nacho average fundraiser. The Guadalupe food truck wants ta-co-operate, too. The food is going to be unburritible! Churr, you could eat the same old bologna sandwich you have for lunch every day. But why? A giant food truck will be sitting in the church parking lot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. shelling out tacos, tortas, enchiladas, salsa, and other Mexican delights.
Plus, 25 percent of the food sales each day will be donated to help Hector Padilla and Keaton Johnson with medical expenses. Hector and Keaton both attend Milbank High School, and both are battling cancer. Levi Waddell, youth director at Central Church, said, “I’m really proud of our kids for wanting to love their classmates so well.” Lettuce all meet for lunch or a snack on August 5 and 6 and help the Central Church Youth help Hector and Keaton. You say agave. I say A Give A.
