Cruz Prasnicki, a fifth-grade wrestler from Milbank, was named champion at the 2025 Rumble National Tournament held July 9-13 in Sandusky, Ohio. The 11-year-old then turned around and won the Cowboy Rumble held August 1-2 in Branson, Missouri.
The tournament in Ohio featured over 4,000 wrestlers from 36 states and Canada. His mother, Damiane, said Cruz wrestled in the 10U division at 72 pounds in Ohio. At the Cowboy Rumble, he was victorious at 74 pounds in two divisions – the 10U folk style and the freestyle.
Cruz’s 12-year-old brother Liam is also an extremely talented wrestler. At the Cowboy Rumble, Liam took second place in two divisions – the 12U folk style and the 12U Greco. Both boys practice year round at Dakota Boyz Wrestling Club in Sisseton and Sniper Wrestling Academy in Bristol.
Cruz and Liam are the sons of Derek and Damiane Preasnicki. Grandparents are Randy and Jackie Prasnicki, Brenda Bohn, Norm and Julie Giesen, and Larry Bohn.
