Pure Desire Ministries in partnership with Central Church in Millbank will present a community-wide event for parents and teens, “From Awkward to Anchored: Faith-Filled Conversations About Sex,” on Wednesday, October 15. Admission is Free.
Do you want porn and social media to be the sex educators of your kids? Take back the conversation! Hear a new approach to “the talk.” Discover practical tools for meaningful conversations and deeper connections with your kids. Bring your questions to this non-threatening environment.
Judy and Mark Dorsett and Levi Waddell, youth ministry coordinator at Central Church, are spearheading the event. Guest speakers will be Rodney Wright and John Begeman from Pure Desires Ministries.
Hear John’s story of healing in his own battle with pornography as a teenager. Erase the stigma of what society says about sex. Learn the radical truth of what God says it is. Learn how to safeguard your sexual integrity. Learn how truth-telling helps healing.
Schedule:
Middle School Youth meet from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Parents are invited to attend this session to hear the message being shared.
High School Youth meet from 6 – 7:15 p.m. in the Youth Room
Parents attend a session in the Sanctuary from 6 – 7:15 p.m.
