Banish your bah-humbugs with the beloved holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol.” This  two-act adaptation of the traditional Charles Dickens tale returns to the stage in the Milbank High School Theater for two performances this weekend. Choose Friday, November 7 or Saturday November 8. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for students. Refreshments will be offered during intermission. A free will donation is requested.

Hunter Reede leads a cast of 23 actors along with six key backstage roles. Reede plays the iconic Ebeneezer Scrooge –the miser who is transformed after he is visited by the Ghost  of Christmas Past (Rebecca Lavallee), the Ghost of Christmas Present (Sam Shelstad), and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Preston Laskowske). Sebastian Vogel portrays Bob Cratchit – Scrooge’s long-suffering clerk. Parker Grabow embodies Jacob Marley, Scrooge’s phantom former business partner who warns Scrooge of his impending fate if he refuses to change his ways.

Narration is provided by an ensemble of carolers.Their voices and presence immerse the audience in the merry world of Dickens and the joyful spirit of the season.
