It might not feel like it today, but spring is right around the corner and so are the 2026 Northeast Area Special Olympics Spring Track and Field Games. Milbank will host the meet set for Friday, May 1. It’s a big day for the community and especially the Special Olympics athletes and more volunteers are needed. Let’s not let them down!
An organizational meeting for volunteers will be held on April 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the MS/HS lunchroom.
Can you use a measuring tape, retrieve shot put balls, be a starter, time events, write ribbons, guide athletes to where they need to go, record information, or serve food? If you can, you are welcome and needed. There’s a job for everyone. Opening ceremonies on track day begin at 8:45 a.m. and the event will wrap up around 4 p.m. It’s a fun and rewarding experience.
