The It Only Takes a Spark Cancer Walk isn’t until June, but things are already starting to heat up. Events for April include a fish fry, several dine and dash events, and pie and bake sales.
Funds from these events help local cancer patients. The Grant County Cancer Board is currently assisting about 85 patients. All communities in the Grant County area are served by It Only Takes A Spark.
The Core Committee is also looking for volunteers for the It Only Takes a Spark Cancer Walk. New events and musical entertainment are being planned. Volunteers are needed to walk during the night hours to represent team members who cannot be present. Gas card drawings will be held during the night.
In addition to the public auction, the committee is planning a silent auction.
