Emma (Ebsen) Flanery

Emma V. Flanery, 93, of Rapid City, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, in Rapid City.

She was born in Prairie Center Township in Southeast South Dakota to Peter and Serina (Christensen) Ebsen.

Survivors include her children: Dennis ‘Denny’ (Michelle) Flanery of Rapid City; Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Flanery Wilson of Rapid City; Patricia ‘Pat’ (Ron) Murray of Ringgold, GA; Sherree (Mark) Olson of St. Michael, MN; and Lawrence ‘Butch’ (Connie) Flanery of Little Falls, MN; a sister, Maryann Hyland of Madison, SD; a brother, Curtis ‘Bud’ (Virginia) Ebsen of Madison, SD; 9 grandchildren;16 great grandchildren; and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Flanery in 1970; and five siblings.

Christian funeral mass was offered on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Rapid City. Inurnment was at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Milbank.
