The Bulldogs set an MHS school record at the 2023 Class A Boys Tennis Tournament in Sioux Falls May 15-16. Abbey Trapp, head coach for Milbank said, “What an incredible state tournament the boys had! I’m excited to announce the team earned 146 total points to set another school record.”  
In the course of the singles tournament, Joe Schulte, at No. 1 for Milbank, faced Jaxon Plank of Lennox. Schulte was defeated, but Plank went on to be crowned the champion of the tournament. Schulte took sixth place in Flight No. 1 for Milbank. 

“Milbank placed eighth overall, which is a huge improvement from last year,” Trapp commented and then added her “Congratulations” to Charles Whitesitt for claiming fifth place in Flight No. 4 singles. “Every single boy played outstanding. It’s truly amazing to see these guys work so hard during the season and have it all pay off!”

Rapid City Christian won its first ever boys Class A tennis title with 584 points. They scored over 160 points more than their closest rival Lennox, who finished with 420.5 points. Sioux Falls Christian earned third with 396-5 points.
