Lady Bulldogs Cap Off Cardinals Game With a Win

After having their five-game winning streak snapped by Groton on January 23, the Lady Bulldogs bounced back to put up another win on January 30 at home. Milbank’s effort as a team turned in a solid performance to claim the 60-40 victory.

Tyra Berry and Isabella Anderson racked up 14 points apiece for the Lady Dawgs. Claire Snaza, Belle Pauli, and Avery Schuneman each scored eight points. Josie Riveland made four points. Zayda Townsend and Anna Neugebauer each added two points.

Snaza recorded seven boards, Pauli had six, and Neugebauer had five. Berry and Siera Wenzl each had three. Wenzl added an assist, three boards, and a steal. Schuneman had one rebound, two assists, and two steasl. Riveland had two rebounds and two assists. Rylee Scoular also had two rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Bree Townsend got a rebound. Lydia Gall got a rebound and a steal. Anderson made five assists. Pauli added an assist and two steals. Neugebauer also snapped up a steal.

Camdyn Peterreins stood out as Deuel’s top scorer with 13 points and four boards. Ember Morris made seven points. Morgan Theisen and Alayna Carlson each had six points. Carlson, Peterreins, Katrina Hagberg, and Gracelyn Nielsen pulled down four rebounds apiece.

The Lady Bulldogs hit nearly 43 percent of their shots overall, including 21 percent of their 3-point attempts. Milbank made two of five from the line. The Lady Cardinals finished at 37 percent shooting overall, tempered by only one of nine from long range. At the foul line, Deuel made five of 10.

What’s next? The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Madison to play in the annual Sacred Hoops – the Northwest Energy Classic on Saturday, February 1. Milbank is scheduled to take on Wagner at 5 p.m.
