Milbank 12U Finishes Strong at State Tournament

The Milbank 12U baseball team competed with 15 other teams in the 2025 South Dakota VFW Alfa Division 12U State Tournament held in Beresford July 11-13. Milbank finished in ninth place. The Madison Bulls took the title by running through the tourney undefeated, including taking  down Dell Rapids 6-3 in the championship

Milbank began pool play with a 13-2 loss to Tri-Valley–Colton Corner. In their next  game, they were defeated 13-9 by Beresford.  Milbank roared  back in their last game of pool play to clobber Aurora  27-6.  

Teams were then seeded – Milbank in the 11th-seed slot of 16.  In bracket play,   Milbank lost a close battle to Vermillion at 6-4. In their final game against West Central Royal, Mibank claimed the 14-13 win to end the tournament in ninth place.
