Milbank 10U Posts Big Wins and Close Finishes at State

The Milbank 10U team competed in the 2025 State Baseball Tournament held July 18-20 in Humboldt.  The 15 teams were split into three pools. Milbank started in pool play on Friday against Dell Rapids-Peters. 

Milbank claimed their first victory  4-1. They then moved on to defeat West Central White 17-2. Milbank also played, but fell 4-3 to Tri Valley.  On Saturday,  Milbank competed in their last pool play game. Vermillion took the victory 2-1.

Milbank was seeded No. 7 when bracket play began on Saturday afternoon. They first faced Dell Rapids Peters and pounded them 13-3.  On Sunday, Dell Rapids Light Blue – the defending state champs–  defeated Milbank 17-4. 

Milbank finished by facing Dell Rapids Navy in a two-and–a- half-hour showdown. Milbank eventually was edged out by just one run at 15-14, and the Milbank boys brought home seventh place.
