Milbank Wrestlers Compete at Mitchell Tournament

The Milbank boys wrestling team traveled to Mitchell on Saturday, January 17, to compete in the first Jerry Opbroek Invitational held in Mitchell’s new school. The $62 million, 200,000 square-foot facility sports three gyms along with a performing arts center and an already existing career and technical education academy. The new structure, across the street from the former school, features natural light and a two-story library. The Kernels will also have air conditioning for the first time. 

Eleven teams competed in the Jerry Opbroek tournament. Pierre topped the field with 286.5 points, Madison took second with 242.5 points. Watertown placed third at 230.5. Milbank scored 88 points to finish eighth.
