Elyssa Tomec Chosen as February Student of the Month at MHS

Senior Elyssa Tomec has been chosen as the February Student of the Month at Milbank High School. She is the daughter of Scott and Nicci Stengel.

Elyssa takes part in HOSA and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She plays softball and serves as the volleyball team’s statistician. She is also a member of the band and the MHS and All-State choirs.

Elyssa is involved in activities at her church, including the youth group. She also works as a CNA at St. Williams Care Center. 

She says her favorite class is American Government. “I love to see how our country works, and Mr. Allmendinger makes government fun to learn about,” she said.

After graduation, Elyssa plans to pursue a degree in registered nursing at Lake Area Technical College. Her goal is to obtain a master’s degree and become a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
