Bruce Merle Larson was born on October 24, 1950, in Tracy, MN, to Arvid and Helen (Holmgren) Larson. He grew up in Tracy alongside his brother, Ric, surrounded by family.

On September 10, 1983, Bruce married the love of his life, Linda Anderson. They met and married in Canby, MN, and soon after made their home in Milbank, where they built a life centered around family, friendships, and time spent together.

Bruce loved being outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and taking road trips (especially to national parks) with Linda, family, and friends. Some of his favorite memories were made at the “rustic” Larson family cabin in northern Minnesota, passed down through generations, where he spent time hunting with his dad, his brother Ric, his nephews, and other relatives.

He also loved hiking and backpacking trips with friends, and the simple moments that came with them, sharing stories around a campfire, playing games, and making memories that lasted a lifetime.

At home, Bruce was rarely idle. He enjoyed tinkering, woodworking, and spending time in the garage or out in the yard. He took pride in his cars, not for fixing them, but for keeping them spotless, always washing and detailing them with care.

More than anything, Bruce loved his family. He was a proud “girl dad” who showed up for everything, whether that meant sitting in the stands, setting up a lawn chair, or simply being there. He carried that same love and pride into his role as a grandfather.

Bruce valued time with others. He loved being around people, sharing stories, and enjoying the kind of everyday moments that become the ones you remember most.

Left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his wife of 42 years, Linda Larson; daughters: Alicia (Jeff) Entringer and Kelsey (Eric) Burgad; five grandchildren: Madisyn, Jackson, Hudson, Grayson, and Collins; brother, Ric Larson (Christine Roberts); brother-in-law, Larry (Diane) Anderson; nephews: Christopher (Mindy) Larson, Michael Larson, Matthew (Heidi) Larson, Jamie (Teri) Anderson, and Jody (Danene) Anderson; along with several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
