Senior Yanderyn Olivares Zuniga was chosen as the April Student of the Month at Milbank High School. She is the daughter of Isela Zuniga and Carlos Olivares.
Yanderyn is a member of the MHS choir and band. She belongs to Future Health Professionals (HOSA) and Educators Rising. She takes part in track and was on the Lady Bulldogs cross country team. Yanderyn was chosen as the second runner up in the 2025 Snow Queen Festival.
Her hobbies are reading, cooking, and translating. She says math is her favorite class. “I love working with numbers and finding creative ways to teach others to understand it better. Also, because it is a real tool in real-life experiences.” Yanderyn plans to attend Northern State University and major in education
