All over the country, businesses are popping up to offer exclusive or unusual products in an under-utilized space for a short time. Many pop-ups turn into permanent businesses.
Whimsy on Main, found at the corner of Second Avenue and Main in Milbank, offers thoughtful gifts, party planning, make- and -take classes, and sweet treats. The name, Thue said, came from a lot of wordplay and fits the store’s personality perfectly.”
The owners, also sisters, are busy preparing for their product reveal on Saturday, December 5. They will feature regional artists’ handmade wares, and boutique gifts. Their sweet treats will include samples of cookies from the Conrad Cookie Company and Mighty Missouri Coffee Company coffee. “We are excited to offer a fun atmosphere in another local shop for holiday gifts,” Snaza said.
Whimsy on Main will be open Saturdays and Sundays in December and January.
