Bonnie Lee Wahl was born on March 4, 1937, in Fessenden, ND. She was the daughter of Norman and Grace (Bietz) Wahl. She resided there with her family until moving to Jamestown, ND. She grew up in Jamestown and attended school there until the 11th grade. She moved again with her family, this time to Bismarck, ND. She met George Carman during her senior year in high school. While attending school, they decided to get engaged the night of their senior prom. They graduated with the Class of 1955 and were married in Bismarck, ND, on July 21, 1956. To this union two children were born: Jessica and Jolene.

Bonnie and George stayed in Bismarck for a few years and later moved to: Devils Lake, ND; Sioux Falls, SD; Mobridge, SD; Rugby, ND; and many others. They eventually settled in Bellingham, MN, in 1993 and have remained there. Bonnie was an active member of Zoar Lutheran Church. She served in the Ladies Circle and enjoyed Bible study.

Bonnie was an impeccable homemaker and always kept herself busy. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and playing Bridge. She started a pottery business in Rugby, ND, and later sold it in the early 1970’s. She also enjoyed attending rummage sales, auctions, and flea markets. She always had an abundance of energy and never let the grass grow under her feet! When she chose to relax, she enjoyed spending time with her family at their cabin on Rose Lake near Vergas, MN.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, George Carman of Bellingham, MN; daughters: Jessica (Don) Hager of Grand Forks, ND; and Jolene Blair of Ft. Collins, CO; and four grandsons: Sam Hager, Karl Hager, Colten Blair, and Adam Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Gary Wahl and Terry Wahl.
