The Milbank Bulldog boys golf team improved their team score during the Northeast Conference meet in Aberdeen on Monday, August 26. The Dawgs finished fifth in the team standings with a 438.

“First of all, what a treat for the boys to get to play at Moccasin Creek,” stated head coach Mark Keeton. “Hands down the best course in northeast South Dakota. As a team we shot our lowest score of the year. Aberdeen just finished the Dakota Open this past weekend, and the greens were very fast.”

Aberdeen Roncalli captured the conference title with a team score of 332. Sisseton was the runner-up with a 366. Other team scores included Groton Area, 394, and Redfield, 400. Tiospa Zina did not field a complete team.
Jake Trevett placed 11th with an 89. Logan Meyer landed in 19th place in the field of 28 golfers with a 103. Logan Fenhaus shot a 123 for 23rd place. Eric Van Sambeek was close behind in 24th place, also with a 123. Carter Phinney rounded out the team for the Bulldogs with a 148.
Mason Carrels of Aberdeen Roncalli won the medalist honors at the top of the field with a 77. Cade Guthmiller of Groton was the runner-up with an 80.
