Kindergarteners Celebrate Dr. Seuss at Big Stone Library

The kindergarten class from the Big Stone School visited the Big Stone City Branch Public Library on February 19. The youngsters learned about author Theodore Geisel — aka Dr. Seuss— and joined libraries across the country in the annual celebration of his birthday on March 2.

The seven students and their teacher, Ms. Hether Voeltz, enjoyed listening to the book, The Cat in the Hat, read by librarian Janelle Kelly. The children also played games and made a craft inspired by Dr. Seuss’ rhyming stories.
