Jane Miriam (Campbell) Drewicke was born July 8, 1912, in Graceville, MN. She was the daughter of Christopher and Jane (O’Brien) Campbell. She attended school at St. Mary’s Academy in Graceville and graduated from high school on May 31, 1931. Jane continued her education and achieved a Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Jane was united in marriage with Joseph Karl Drewicke on November 4, 1941. Jane and Joseph made their home in Graceville. They raised their two children, Mary Virginia and George. She was a faithful and devoted member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Jane worked as a nurse for many years at Holy Trinity Hospital. She will be remembered as a “perpetual nurse” – always caring for others. She adored her grandchildren and they in turn adored her! On occasion they would hide in her car in hopes of going home with grandma. In later years they enjoyed taking her out for dinner. Joseph died on December 5, 1989. Jane continued her nursing career until she retired. She lived on the family farm until her move to the Grace Home.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children: Mary Virginia (Earl) Kampmeier of Graceville, MN; George (Theresa) Drewicke of Frazee, MN; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph; brothers: William, George, Christopher, and Steve; sister, Mary; and great grandchildren, Jesse and Hailie.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
