Belinda Nicholson

Belinda Nicholson, age 51, of Marietta, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the Ortonville Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Marietta First United Church of Christ with Rev. Brenda King officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.

Belinda Violet Nicholson was born on October 23, 1963, in Huron, SD, to Violetta Nicholson. She attended Ortonville High School and then furthered her education at Canby Tech.

Primarily a stay at home mom, Belinda adored spending time with her children. Her children were her life but she also loved all children, often helping others raise their kids. Once her kids were older, Belinda began working as a waitress and bartender before she became ill.

Belinda enjoyed landscaping and gardening. She also loved to decorate, a passion she brought to life by taking on many home projects. Belinda loved to visit and could talk to anyone about anything. She always showed unconditional love towards others and was never one to judge. Belinda will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael (Ashley) Nicholson of Madison, MN; Amanda Nicholson (Christopher Olson) of Marietta, MN; Erica Nicholson (fiancé Thomas Kack) of Appleton, MN; and Tiffany Moe of Marietta, MN; five grandchildren: Jessica, Dylan, Dane, Axel, and Cadence; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa; sister, Linda Nicholson of Redwood Falls, MN; and significant other, Dave Milvert of Marietta, MN.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two brothers, Johnny and Bobby; and by the father of her children and long-term partner, Michael Moe.
