Marlys (Nord) Johnson, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 30, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Strandburg at the Tabor Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank and will continue on Tuesday for one hour prior to the time of service at the church.
Marlys Jeanette Johnson was born on October 27, 1930, in LaBolt, SD to Carl and Elna (Lundborg) Nord. She was a special education teacher in Minneapolis for 20 years before retiring in Strandburg.
Marlys is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wilbur Johnson of Strandburg; daughters: Carolyn (Pat) Boulay of Minneaplois and Lorene (Steve) Hanson of Bloomington, MN; sons: Lane (Beverly) Johnson of Bloomington and Neal (Lisa) Johnson of Minneapolis; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
She leaves a great legacy of love.
