The Milbank School District is in need of lower level officials for football and volleyball for the upcoming athletic seasons, according to athletic director Boyd Sussex. “All school sports are struggling to get enough officials across the midwest,” explained Sussex.

Milbank is in need of officials for middle school and junior varsity football games as well as middle school and C game volleyball officials and varsity line judges.

“At present I do have a group for each sport that work, however that number is dwindling,” noted Sussex. “Besides filling our own needs for these sports, we are hopeful to help get people interested and aggressive about becoming high school varsity officials as well.”

Scheduling meetings have been set for lower level football and volleyball officials. The football meeting will take place Monday, August 24, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 52 of Milbank High School. The meeting for volleyball is set for Tuesday, August 25, at 5:15 p.m. in Room 52.
