Mavis Moser, age 85, of Milbank died Thursday, August 13, 2015, at St. Williams Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, at Mundwiler Funeral Home Chapel in Milbank with Rev. Keith Bicknase officiating. Burial will follow in the Milbank City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home.
Music will be provided by Tim Mundwiler. Casket bearers will be Larry Underwood, Gary Underwood, Dennis Underwood, Calvin Moser, Eugene Frerichs, and Mike Frerichs.
Mavis Avilda Moser was born on November 14, 1929, in rural Wilmot, SD, to Ernest and Andrea (Larsen) Frerichs. She grew up on a farm in rural Wilmot and attended Garfield #1 country school. On April 17, 1955, Mavis was united in marriage to Ervin Moser in rural Wilmot. To this union, two sons were born.
In 1985, after the death of Ervin, Mavis moved to Watertown as a client of Atco. She remained there until 2003 when she returned to Milbank and made her home at Golden Living Center and most recently, St. Williams Care Center. Mavis enjoyed music and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank.
Left with Mavis’ memory are her sons: Lyle (Sandy) Moser of Milbank and Curtis Moser of Redfield, SD; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Donald (Lucille) Frerichs of rural Wilmot and Gene (Judy) Frerichs of Milbank; brother-in-law, Arlin Underwood of Milbank; and many nieces and nephews.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; brother, George Frerichs; and sister, Marla Underwood.
