Volunteer organizers in Milbank will host an informational meeting about a new clay target shooting league for middle and high school students.

The league will join the new non-profit S.D. High School Clay Target League. The league is an independent provider of co-ed shooting sports for students who have earned their firearms safety certification. The league’s three priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship.

The meeting is slated for Thursday, November 12, at 7 p.m. in conjunction with the monthly meeting of the Milbank Shooting Club. The meeting will be held in the back room of the Brass Rail.

Organizers will share information about the league, recruit volunteers, and answer questions. Any adult interested in volunteering or who has a son or daughter who might like to participate is invited to attend.

For more information, please contact Paul Sayler at 949-0316, Wayne Meyer at 880-4920, or Tim Ward at 467-9059. Additional information is also available on the South Dakota High School Clay Target League Facebook page.
