The 24th annual Festival of Christmas Trees will be showcased throughout the Grant County Courthouse during the upcoming holiday season. Event planners are looking for organizations and businesses to join in the Christmas spirit by displaying a decorated tree.

Trees must be set up and decorated between Tuesday, November 17, and Wednesday, November 25, during regular courthouse hours. They will remain on display through the first of the year and must be removed by Monday, January 4.

The trees must be artificial without lights and decorated in a theme of the organization’s choice. A sign containing the trees’ theme and the organization’s name should be visible. Trees will be judged by community volunteers on the following criteria: captures the viewer’s attention, appropriate theme, neatly decorated, decorations carry out the theme of the tree, creativity, unified colors, show community holiday spirit and follows the guidelines.

“If your group or organization would like a good holiday project, come celebrate the Christmas season and show your community spirit by putting up and decorating a tree,” said Sara Koepke, organizer.

To register or reserve your tree spot, call the Grant County Extension Office at 432-9221 by Monday, November 16.
