Auditions for The Jungle Book at Koch School

Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) will showcase Milbank’s young and talented actors in its 2015 production of The Jungle Book. Auditions will take place Monday, November 16, at Koch School from 3:30-5:30 p.m
“Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours,” stated LeAnn Kuper, organizer of the event and representative of the Whetstone Arts Council. “Some cast members will be asked to rehearse immediately following the audition.”
Among the roles to be cast are Mowgli (the man-cub), Bagheera (the panther), Akela (the leader of the pack), the entire wolf pack, Shere Khan (the tiger) with his side-kick Tabaqui (the jackal), Nag and Nagaina (the cobras), Darzee (the bird), Hathi (the master elephant), Rikki-Tikki-Tavi (the mongoose), Kaa (the rock-python), Buck (a buck) and of course the Monkey-People.
All students grades kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to assist with the technical aspects of the production.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 to 8 p.m. each day. The Jungle Book will be presented Friday, November 20, at 1:30 and 7 p.m. at the MHS theater.
