Theron Baumgart Earns Grand Prize in FOP Gun Raffle

Theron Baumgart of Milbank was named the grand prize winner of a Remington 1187 in the Grant County Fraternal Order of Police gun raffle. Steph Wenzel won a Remington 870 20 gauge camo while Dick Schwandt was the winner of a Remington 783 .243 combo. The final winner of a gun was Dave Zinter who received a Savage .17 93R17 combo. The guns were purchased locally through UPI gas station. Jamie Andrews was the last name drawn in the raffle and received a $50 gift card.

“We raised over $4,000 in the raffle which helps fund other events that the FOP puts on each year,” said Police Chief Boyd VanVooren. “All the money raised stays in Grant County. We thank everyone who helped out with this fundraiser.”

The FOP uses the raised funds to help support its recent Christmas hay ride, the Christmas with a Cop event, DARE events and the Milbank High School scholarship fund.
