The Montage Walkie Talkie cancer walk team has a beef with cancer and decided to do something about it. They raised nearly $500 for the It Only Takes A Spark Cancer Walk with their roast beef sandwich feed Wednesday, December 30, at State Auto in Milbank. The event was partially funded by Thrivent Financial.
“The Walkie Talkie team would like to thank Hardee’s and Food-N-Fuel for providing great food at a great price,” said team organizer Jessica Roggenbuck. “We also thank the employees at Montage for donating baked goods.”
Team members participating in the event were Annavel Quintana, Mandy Jones, David Wellnitz, Che Che Selgeby, Jessica Roggenbuck, Lynn Wientjes, Natalie Remund, Faye Loup, Jennie Carrino, Kim Veen, Marie Borchert, Nicole Eckland, Rebecca Scavariel, Stacy Schumacher, Talia Athey, and Kirk Simmons.
