V BuskVelma Busk, age 93, of Milbank, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Milbank.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank with Rev. Dr. DeVern Schwenn officiating.Burial will follow in the Milbank City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

Casket bearers include Mike Trapp, Paul DeBoer, Cliff Boerger, Tom Dravland, Lynn Boerger and Brad DeBoer.

Velma Lois Busk was born on August 5, 1922, on the family farm in Summit, South Dakota, to Carl and Esther (Sorenson) Busk. She attended grade school in Grant County, living on the farm for a majority of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper and assistant for Goldie’s Electric Service. In 2001, Velma moved into the Carriage House Condo where she lived until 2007. Most recently, she resided at Golden Living Center in Milbank.

Velma enjoyed working with the children at Grant Center Evangelical Church before it closed. She then became a member of Central United Methodist Church. Velma cherished time with her family and was a wonderful sister and aunt to many. Velma also enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing the piano and loved decorating her home for the Christmas Holidays.

Velma is survived by her sisters: Alice Mitchell of Milbank, SD; Dorothy Bracht of Milbank, SD; and Marlys Parson of Norwalk, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Esther Busk; special friend Goldie Kreuger; sisters, Gladys Trapp and Rose Hammero; and brothers, Grover Busk, Robert (Bob) Busk and Marlo (Rusty) Busk.
