_DSC0043The Milbank Bulldogs improved its dual wrestling record to 10-5 following two big wins over Sisseton and Deuel during a triangular Thursday, January 21, in Clear Lake.

The Dawgs were a few grapplers down in the lineup because of illnesses, but battled to the end to secure the wins. “We had some young guys step into the lineup for us and compete hard,” explained head coach Jeremy Tostenson. “Things were uncomfortable in the Sisseton dual, but we battled and got the win.”

Milbank started off the night with a 43-28 victory over the Sisseton Redmen. Jordan Pollock (126 weight class) and Taran Mogard (170) secured big wins with pins over their opponents before Chris Loutsch and Tanner Kettwig put the match away with wins at 182 and 285, respectively. The Bulldogs wrapped up the night with a 57-21 win over Deuel.

Pollock, Mogard, Loutsch, Kettwig, Brodie Holtquist and Jose Chen led the locals with a 2-0 record on the night. Eli Fischer, Isaac Fischer, Jake Anderson and Ben Nelson went 1-1. JD Lusk jumped into the lineup and went 1-0 while Koben Huber and Riley Folk split the 195 weight class with Huber securing one win.
