Steven FolkSteven Lester Folk, age 63, of Sioux Falls, and formerly of Milbank, died January 24, 2016, at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank with Father Gary DeRouchey celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday for one hour prior to the time of Mass. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.

Steven Lester Folk was born on March 19, 1952, in Milbank, SD, the son of Edward F. Folk and Gladys Marie McCulloch. He attended school in Milbank and graduated from Milbank High School with the class of 1974. He then attended and graduated from the Vocational School in Pipestone, MN with a degree in Super Market Management.

After graduating from college, Steven moved to San Diego to manage a super market. He also enjoyed working with investments and real estate. He moved back to South Dakota to tend to an ill family member. Most recently living in Sioux Falls, Steven worked as a parking attendant at the Sioux Falls Sanford Hospital. He also continued to work with real estate and investments. He was a faithful member of a Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, enjoyed snow skiing, golfing and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Steven Folk is survived by his parents Edward and Gladys Folk of rural Milbank, SD; siblings: Glenn (Barb) Folk of Milbank, SD; Linda (David) Pauli of Milbank, SD; Duane (Gail) Folk of Milbank, SD; Renae Espland of Volga, SD; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one brother, Warren Folk; and nephew, Erik Folk.
