Wanetta Brandenbuger

Wanetta Brandenburger, age 53, of Revillo, SD, died Friday, February 26, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank with Rev. Mark Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Revillo. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Mundwiler Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday for one hour prior to the time of service.

Casket bearers will be Coltin Brandenburger, Justin Fischer, Jon Brandenburger, Scott Brandenburger, Darrin Stricherz, and Dean Hunt. Honorary bearers include Jason and Michele Fischer, Ryan and Kim McGuire, Tori Brandenburger, Faith Brandenburger, Abigail Trieb, Trystan Fischer, and Corylee Fischer.

Wanetta Lanore Brandenburger was born on December 11, 1962, in Clear Lake, SD, to Edward and Margaret (Pederson) Brandenburger. She attended Grant Deuel school until the age of seventeen.

Wanetta enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and word searches. She never missed an episode of The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune. Wanetta was a hard worker, helping people move from field to field and enjoyed housework, especially sweeping the floors, doing dishes, and pulling weeds. She had a special bond with her dad, enjoying car rides together and being his right hand. Wanetta loved driving the gator down the driveway to get the mail with her dog Rocky by her side and enjoyed attending her nieces and nephews school activities. She particularly loved animals, especially kittens and puppies.

Left to cherish Wanetta’s memory is her parents: Edward and Margaret Brandenburger of Revillo, SD; brother, Martin (Diane) Brandenburger of Revillo, SD; nieces and nephews: Justin, Jason, Coltin, Ryan, Tori, and Faith; aunts and uncles: Dorothy Bishop of Milbank, SD; Allen (Brenda) Brandenburger of Revillo, SD; Florence (LeRoy) Stricherz of Revillo, SD; LeRoy (Linda) Brandenburger of South Shore, SD; Joe Pederson of Watertown, SD; Delores (Darwin) Hunt of Gary, SD; Esther Olson of St. Paul, MN; many cousins; and her dog, Rocky.

Wanetta was preceded in death by her sister, LaDean Fischer; maternal grandparents, John and Rose Pederson; paternal grandparents, Benny and Alma Brandenburger; and cousin, Melissa Seezs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Codington County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
