Four senior players and three senior students managers were recognized for their dedication and commitment to the Lady Bulldogs girls basketball team at a season-end potluck Monday, March 7.
Senior players Cara Berkner, Shelby Hooth, Mikayla Street and Tori Brandenburger were given special gifts by the coaches and congratulated on their high school careers. Three senior students managers were also recognized and thanked for their years of service to the program. They were Hannah Rick, Morgan Schmitt and Eliza DiNatalie. They also earned a Major M.
The underclassmen were awarded certificates for earning a minor M in the sport. Recipients included Katie VanderWal, Ashley Wollschlager, Faith Brandenburger, Elisabeth Schwenn, Jaden Hoeke, Chloe Bender, Makayla Johnson, Kylie Kasuske, Kylie Roggenbuck, Kellie Christians, Anna Mathews, Tonya Meyers, Katie Wollschlager along with student managers Tori Quade, Mimi Webb and Abby Weber.
Athletes earning a Major M were Cara Berkner, Shelby Hooth, Mikayla Street, Tori Brandenburger, Clare Van Dover, Mikaela Hoeke, Caryssa Mielitz, Karlee Mertens, Mackayla Schuelke, Molly Rick, LaChasity Finley, Shea Hooth, Sophia Seffrood, Taylor Thue and Gabbi Cummins.
The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with a 6-15 overall record. Head coach for the Lady Bulldogs was Joe Frederiksen. He was assisted by Jolene Rick and Eric Townsend.
