Roman RadermacherRoman Radermacher, age 65, formerly of Grant County, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Lake Norden, SD.

Roman was buried beside his family at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Big Stone City on Friday, March 18, 2016, with Father Brian Oestreich conducting graveside services.

Roman Radermacher was born on September 20, 1950, in Ortonville, MN. He was the son of Casper and May (Fox) Radermacher. Roman’s parents were married in Australia and immigrated to the United States, settling in Big Stone City. They had two children: Marie, born in 1947, and Roman. Both children had developmental disabilities and lived at several care centers throughout the years. Roman lived at Redfield State Hospital and School as well as Atco in Watertown. He currently resided in Lake Norden.

Roman loved Coke a Cola soda and adored hugs. He was a trickster and had a way of making people smile. He was very humorous and always had a smile for everyone he met. Roman made friends wherever he was and will be dearly missed.

Roman was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and May; and his sister, Marie.
