Milbank Area Retired Teachers Association – MARTA

The Milbank Area Retired Teachers Association (MARTA) will have its regular monthly meeting Thursday, March 17, at 11 a.m. in the meeting room at Pizza Ranch.

The foreign exchange students currently attending Milbank High School will be the guest speakers for the day. “Come and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the MARTA members,” stated club president Rhonda Preller. “Wear something green and we will have a matching hat for you!”

Members are also asked to bring school supplies to donate for needy children overseas. The supplies will be included with the Orphan Grain Train’s Mercy Meals shipments. Suggested supplies include paper, pens, pencils, folders, glue, rulers and notebooks. “Their schools often have very limited school supplies,” Preller mentioned. “Everything would be appreciated.”

Those who donate school supplies will have their name entered for a drawing. Members are also reminded to bring their service hours for the past year.
