Freshman Kylie Kasuske led the Lady Bulldogs with a 12th place finish at the Hamlin Early Bird golf tournament April 14. Kasuske completed the 18-hole round with a final score of 101. “It was great to see Kylie medal at the first meet of the year,” stated head golf coach Mark Keeton.
Eighth grader, Alaina Rausch, tallied a 121 for her first round of the season, Mikaela Hoeke shot a 123, and Korinne Roggenbuck counted 142. “I was very pleased with the girls’ play,” said Keeton. “For Mikaela, Korinne, and Alaina, it was their first time playing 18 holes. They hung in there and never gave up on an extremely windy day.”
Milbank finished seventh in the team standings with a 344. Deubrook’s first team won the event with a 273. Hamlin was the runner-up with a 284 while Sisseton landed in third with a 304.
