Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank. Father Gary DeRouchey will officiate and burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. followed by a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the Mass.

Music will be provided by Nancy Johnson, organist and the St. Lawrence Funeral Choir.

Casket bearers will be her grandchildren: Jesse Frost, Shayne Frost, Jordan Frost, Carter Kasuske, Paige Frost, Cole Frost, Kyla Kasuske, and Cori Frost.

Honorary bearers will be “All the people who were touched by Anna Mae.”

Anna Mae (Spindler) Frost was born on July 19, 1943, at Hoven, SD. She was the daughter of Henry and Cecelia (Mertes) Spindler. She attended school in Hoven and graduated from St. Anthony’s High School. She continued her education in Pierre, SD and received a Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Anna Mae was united in marriage with Kenneth L. Frost on April 4, 1964.

Anna Mae worked at the Hoven Hospital before moving with her family to Milbank. Her nursing career lasted 48 years, working at Beverly Care Center and St. William’s Care Center, both in Milbank. She was a devoted care giver, both to her family and her patients.

Anna Mae and Ken enjoyed camping. Wonderful memories were made with family and friends on camping trips. Anna Mae adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was an active member of the Grant County ARC, serving many years as President. She was recognized as State Volunteer of the Year for her devotion to ARC. She cared for and loved all the special women of Angela Hall. Anna Mae was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop. She enjoyed attending and participating in the Christian Women’s Club. She embroidered many, many dishtowels which she gave as gifts. Anna Mae was an “honorary bearer” for many patients that she cared for, claiming her as their favorite nurse. Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit will never be forgotten.

Anna Mae was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, taking communion to the care center for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ken of Milbank, SD; five children: Mike Frost of Nassau, MN; Mark Frost of Hoven, SD; Steve Frost of Rapid City, SD; Nancy Kasuske of Wentworth, SD; Neil (Darcy) Frost of Watertown, SD; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four siblings: Carol (Louis) Sebert of Mitchell, SD; Kathy (Robert) Anderson of Dakota Dunes, SD; Jim (Mary) Spindler of Tolstoy, SD; and Cindy (Richard) Schaefer of Hoven, SD.

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Corey Kasuske; one sister, Jeanne; and one nephew, John Spindler.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to ARC – Mary Munson, Treasurer, 906 7 Street South, Milbank, SD 57252.
