Volleyball Camps Scheduled For June

The 19th Annual Milbank Bulldog Volleyball Camp dates have been set and registrations are due. The summer camps will be under the direction of Nancy Hoeke.

The varsity/junior varsity camp for athletes in grades 10-12 will be June 13-14 at the Milbank Armory. The camp will run 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. The cost is $60, but fees can be adjusted for players who took part in the team’s annual fundraising. “This year’s camp will be led by Kelsey Titus, assistant coach at the University of Jamestown,” said Coach Hoeke. “Kelsey was a standout player at Northern State University.” The camp will teach upper-level skills for good offense and defense by position. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt. Registrations are due to Coach Hoeke by Tuesday, May 24. Checks can be made payable to the Milbank Volleyball Team.

Additional camps for younger athletes will take place Monday, June 20, through Wednesday, June 22. A camp for C team and middle school players in grades eight and nine (and invited 7th graders) is scheduled for June 20-22 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the high school. The cost is $45. Girls in grades 4-7 who are just beginning the sport will attend June 20-21 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Koch School. The fee is $25. Girls in grades 5-7 who have attended camp at least twice in the past and have advanced skills are asked to attend June 20-21 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the high school. The cost is also $25.
