Firechiefs Back In Action

The Milbank Firechiefs amateur baseball team is back in action and off to a solid start for the 2016 season. The locals are 2-1 thus far and look ahead to win the district tournament and advance deep into the state tourney this year, according to team manager Jesse Krause.
Krause is in his 10th season as manager. He will be assisted by Chuck Foss and Scott Hoeke. Jeff Fish and Tony Hofman are back with the team after a short break, and Austin Suther will play with the Chiefs this summer. He previously played for Britton.
Other team members include Lance Frogner, Ryan Conrad, Ronnie Krause, Brock Gomer, Andrew Magedanz, Justin Ackerman, Dan Karges, Tyler Borns, Jim Palmer, Taylor Boerger, Tyler Reil, Matt Stephan and Travis Lester.
Clark and Lake Norden will be the teams to beat this season, and Sisseton and Webster are back in the league as well.
