Seven sixth grade students from St. Lawrence School completed graduation ceremonies Tuesday, May 24, and prepare for next year at Milbank Middle School.

Sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Paula Rausch, presented the graduating class of 2016. Class members were Nicholas Batchelor, Kellen Hoeke, Mariah Madsen, Hattie Muellenbach, Savanna Osowski, Isaac Sousa and Karson Weber.

The Hoeke and Sousa families were recognized for having their last child graduate from the school. The students also presented their families with hand-made rosaries in commemoration of the event.

To start the program, sixth grade band members, under the direction of Susan Karels, presented a selection. A scholarship drawing was held where Keaton Johnson was named the winner. He is the son of 4th grade teacher Sara Johnson and Jack Johnson.

Perfect attendance certificates were presented to Max and Jeter Scoular in honor of that achievement.

The program concluded with the students reading their special memories of St. Lawrence School followed by a photo slideshow.
