The Milbank Bulldog boys tennis team concluded its season with an awards potluck this week. Coach Jim Dahl presented several individual awards along with Major and minor M certificates.

Chris Loutsch, the lone senior on the team this season, was named to the Academic All-State Team and was presented with a senior award for his years of contribution to the tennis program. Keaton Hagen was given the junior varsity hustler award while Adam Thomas received the varsity hustler award.

Mitch Quade was honored with the singles gamer/matchmaker award, and Connor VanVooren earned the doubles gamer/matchmaker award. Noah Pillatzki was named the most improved player for the 2016 season. Additional awards were given to David Basilio, JV gamer/matchmaker combo award, and Max McCulloch, rookie of the year award.

Major certificates were presented to Chris Loutsch, Adam Thomas, Riley Folk, Mitch Quade, Max McCulloch, Ethan Bohn, Connor VanVooren and managers Paige Johnson and Tatiana Stemsrud.

Minor certificates were handed out to David Basilio, Matt Lenards, Caden Ebsen, Keaton Hagen, Nathan Loutsch, Alex Popowski, James Weber, Noah Pillatzki and Zach Aker.

Dahl also presented assistant coach Abbey Trapp with a coaches award and gift bag. “I thank her for her fine service and dedication to the middle school, junior varsity and varsity programs.”
